HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO LEARN WINDSURFING VS. KITEBOARDING?
Windsurf lessons will get you going in the water the first day, whereas kiteboarding takes multiple lessons to be able to kite safely solo. Kiteboarding lessons are individual, windsurfing lessons can be done privately or in a group.
SHOULD I ARRIVE EARLY TO MY LESSON?
Yes, arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time.
HOW SHOULD I COME PREPARED TO MY LESSON?
Bring your bathing suit, your sunscreen and your smile. We provide the gear, wetsuits, life jackets, and booties.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I MAKE A RESERVATION?
The earlier the better but at least a couple days before your desired date. Weekends and holidays get booked quicker and additional reservation time may be needed.
WHERE CAN I CHECK THE WIND REPORT?

We accept all major credit cards and cash.
SAFTEY PROTOCOLS
Kiteboarding in the Columbia River Gorge has inherent risks. It is your responsibility to know the rules and be familiar with the safety procedures and protocols about kiteboarding in the Gorge. If you have any questions, ask.
SCHOOL CERTIFICATION- KITEBOARDING
We are a PASA certified kiteboarding school. Per the terms of our insurance and accreditation, we operate lessons in wind speeds of up to 30mph winds. All classes scheduled with greater wind speeds will be cancelled, and a class will be canceled if the student is not comfortable with the conditions.

RESERVATIONS
To reserve your lesson, credit card payment is required.
Walk-ups are not guaranteed a lesson during the busy days (weekends, mid-summer).
We are VERY busy on the weekends. If your schedule and/or travel plans allows you to take a lesson midweek, we will most likely have more flexibility and availability. Wind sports are wind dependent and some days the wind doesn't blow - keep that in mind.
WEATHER CANCELLATIONS
If a lesson is cancelled because of weather conditions, we will re-schedule your lesson. Please keep in mind this is a weather dependent sport. For your convenience, please visit thegorgeismygym.com and click on the Blog/Forecast tab, to check the wind report prior to your scheduled lesson.
